Top Tips for Your Wedding Morning

After over 15 years in the wedding industry, it’s safe to say we have seen a lot of the very best wedding mornings and also seen the little mishaps that can also arise.

Which is why I have put together some of my top tips for your wedding morning, to ensure you have a smooth, stress free wedding morning:

STEAM – For all you fellow fluffy, frizzy haired girlies, steaming a dress after having your hair done is going to bring out the little frizzies in your hair and can also disturb your makeup. My advice would be if possible to steam the dresses the night before. If it has to be done on the morning do it preferably before hair and makeup and away from that area and even better  by a window.

TAGS – Cut all those tags off ( unless your planning on sending them back!) prior to the last minute to save the panic of trying to find a pair of scissors, or worse still try to rip them off … which can lead to a slight disaster.

PJs – The silky matching PJ sets are super cute don’t get me wrong, but wearing them in the height of summer can lead to feeling very sweaty & uncomfortable due to the type of fabric used. Instead why not go for cotton ones of a similar style to ensure yourself and your bridal party remain cool and comfortable on your wedding morning.

SPEAKER – Bring a speaker along with you to create your chosen wedding morning mood, to either relax you or bring the hype to the morning with your favorite playlist.

EMERGENCY PACK – Bring a long a little sewing kit.. Sometimes buttons fall of dresses etc so it’s always good to be prepared. Plasters, a handheld fan, shout wipes from amazon for any little stains are amazing. Tweezers & Scissors are super handy as well as a crochet hook for doing up all the buttons at the back!

TIME – We will send over a wedding morning schedule after your trial to ensure your morning runs smoothly. We like to have you all ready around an hour prior to your ceremony. This gives you time to pop your jewellery on, shoes, dress, also to have first look pictures captured and an all important moment to catch your breath before walking down the aisle!

HANGERS – Having your dresses hung up with random different plastic hangers is a photographers pet hate for capturing this image. If you would love a photo of all your dresses hung up in your album, go for it and order either plain white wooden hangers for example or personalised, decaled ones.

Finally take it all in and enjoy your wedding morning, surround yourself with your favorite people and choose wedding suppliers that you like and respect to be a part of your big day.
